Carpentry is what Coogan Building Solutions does best! I build and install custom cabinets, tables, bookcases, fireplace mantels, and more. Whether it’s antique or new, traditional or modern, working with wood materials is an art that requires keen attention to detail. I believe that quality is of utmost importance in any project that I am hired to do. Paying attention to detail is critical in any design and should not be overlooked. In fact, I pride myself in paying attention to detail to the point that nothing is missed, so your project comes out looking clean and professional, to your liking, and built to last for generations.
Designing
I have worked on several projects in which I designed, priced, and constructed built-in cabinetry for clients. We can work together to define your vision for a much-needed bookshelf or a master closet space with all of the amenities. If you are in need of a kitchen remodel or a finished basement, I can work with you to create a visually appealing space.
Details
Providing a picture is worth a thousand words. So, when time permits, I like to spend time collaborating with the client to produce drawings of what the customer has envisioned. Regardless of the size of your project, I can provide detailed architectural shop drawings using AutoCAD software to give you a true perspective of your design intent.

Let me collaborate with your architect and you to create your dream home, and I will coordinate the construction team to complete the job to your satisfaction.

From multi-million-dollar residential projects in Boston and eastern Massachusetts, to large-scale commercial projects in Central New York, to smaller renovations in Vermont, I have a diverse resume when it comes to building. I have worked with some of the most premier general contractors in New England, so I have learned from the best. Furthermore, I have developed strong relationships with qualified, highly skilled trade businesses and suppliers in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. If you are interested in sustainability and green-building, I am intimately familiar with LEED construction qualifications, Vermont Efficiency, and FSC- and NAUF-certified building materials. I am confident that together we can produce an attractive, comfortable home that you will proudly show to your family and friends.
Therapist
Well, sort of! No, I do not actually have a degree in psychology; but, depending on the project's size and the number of people involved, some projects can be stressful for the client. I have first-hand experience designing and building a home while simultaneously working full-time and trying to keep my wife sane. Nestled in the hills of Vermont, we built our own dream house and are now raising two adorable children in that very home. I must admit that this process did test the strength of our marriage, but we prevailed! Not only can I help create a functional physical space for your family, but I can also assist in maintaining optimum function of your lives throughout the construction process.
